Spend a half day in the city of Saluzzo, a crossroad of men, goods and ideas during the late Medieval time and early Renaissance. Still today you can admire the precious monuments, churches and castles that defined the cityscape. The whole historic centre of the city resembles the glory of the Maquises of Saluzzo, who reigned over this rich part of Piedmont from the mid-12th century to the mid-16th century. On the top of the highest hill there is the Castiglia, this used to be the palace of the Marquises, and it later became a military base and a prison. Today inside the fortress you can visit the chivalry museum. Along the Salita al castello, the street that leads up to the castle, you will see the civic tower and the old City Hall. But you will discover the best of Saluzzo by exploring its narrow side streets, where, one close to the other, the are palaces of many different periods. Our journey will take us in a very special place in the heart of the city of Saluzzo.
Walk inside this gorgeous Italian Atelier and fashion boutique, and meet Bruna, a woman passionated about haute couture, style and elegance. She pursued her dream as a child and started her own prestigious brand. Enjoy a private tour of her Atelier: a special hands-on class is waiting for you in Bruna’s laboratory, and you will create a little fashion accessory following her instructions!
This is the perfect laid back day away from the tourist crowds. Take your time to browse Bruna’s collections, try on her creations and be a model for a day. All the activities will be accompanied by tastings of delicacies for which Saluzzo is renowned!
Carlotta organised a perfect private truffel hunting trip for us. We will definitely contact her again for another trip in the Piedmont area.Posted on Xander Smid I wanted to share my positive experience with Carlotta, who organized our recent Piedmont tour. She did an excellent job tailoring the itinerary to our interests and was incredibly accessible and responsive whenever I had questions. Our trip included visits to charming small towns in the Langhe area, wonderful wine tasting experiences, and concluded in Turin. The highlights were definitely the three private tours: * **Grinzane Cavour Castle:** Martina was our guide, and her insightful commentary made the visit truly enjoyable. * **Reggia di Venaria:** Sara's extensive knowledge of the Savoy's history made this an exceptional and unique experience. * **Sacra di San Michele:** Lucia guided this tour, and her in-depth knowledge combined with her engaging personality made it an excellent and memorable trip.Posted on Beatriz Rodriguez How do you give 10 stars when there are only 5 to give?! My husband and I studied in Rome back in the late 80’s and have been back to Italy many times with friends and family to Tuscany, Umbria and Rome. We have always wanted to explore this region but wanted a trip with authenticity. After a video meeting with Carlotta, I knew we would!! She helped us plan a 10 day adventure that we enjoyed with another couple! We flew into Milan and then drove to Stressa and enjoyed Lago Maggiore and Lago Orta. We then went to Torino and finally the Langhe region. We had private tours for the things we wanted to exlore more deeply. The restaurant recommendations were superb and our accommodations were just right! Carlotta understood what we were looking for in our trip and planned to perfection! She loves and appreciates the Piedmont region and it radiates in her work. We are looking forward to returning with her expertise on board!!Posted on Therese Brennan My husband and I were sold on Carlotta the moment she offered to Zoom with us to find out more about what type of trip to the Piedmont area we were interested in. I like to work with local travel agents when we travel, but none had ever offered that service, and we found it incredibly helpful as we were able to ask questions and find out more info about the area. Carlotta ended up, along with my input, putting together a superb 9 day itinerary starting with a stay in Turin, then moving on to the Langhe region and finally visiting Lake Orta on our final day before heading back to Milan for a flight out. Carlotta arranged private drivers for us, guides, truffle hunting, visits to vineyards, a trip to a cheese village, visits to a hunting castle and monastery and more!! She was ever ready to help if we had a question or issue during our time there. We would use her again in a heartbeat should we ever return. Our only regret is that she was totally booked by the time we worked with her so we never had the pleasure of her being our guide. Oh well, next time!! Grazie mille Carlotta!!Posted on Susan Brock Our experience with Carlotta was wonderful. Our private tour was unforgettable-from the interesting truffle hunt with a local expert and his dog, to lunch at a local restaurant, and a relaxing wine tasting at a beautiful family-run winery. Carlotta was knowledgeable, warm and made every moment feel special. Highly recommend Piedmont ToursPosted on Sheila Jenkins Had an incredible experience, would highly recommend!Posted on Lindsey McClenning Definitely Weill come back!!! Happiest experience everPosted on Yuze Geng Carlotta made superb recommendations for tours and restaurants in the Piedmonte. She was superbly responsive to our requests and correspondence, and all the places we saw at her recommendation more than met expectations. I warmly recommend Carlotta and Piedmont Tours to anyone seeking to truly experience the wonders of Italy's Piedmonte.Posted on Phil Nizialek The Trip of a Lifetime Carlotta Prandi, the owner of Piedmont Tours, helped me plan a two-week trip of a lifetime! She arranged just about every aspect of the trip—airport pick up, hotels, train tickets, car rental, private city guides in Genoa, Turin and Venice (which is not in Piedmont)—and offered suggestions about restaurants, as well as arranging a truffle hunt and a visit to the Langhe wine region. The main reason for visiting Piedmont was to visit the birthplaces of my maternal grandparents (Castelnuovo Don Bosco and Cassine). With Carlotta’s help I found out the address of the home where my grandmother had grown up in Cassine. Everything went according to plan (other than missing one of my trains, my fault). Grazie mille, Carlotta!! E stato un viaggio bellisimo and truly memorable!Posted on Stephen Dolainski 5 star extremely personalized experience. Carlotta created an amazing itinerary based on what I advised we wanted to do and see. She helped with everything and was always accesible and willing go the extra mile. It was like planning the trip with a friend that had all the knowledge and connections in Piemonte. Got to do and see a lot of Piemonte in the time time I there. Grazie mille Carlotta & Piedmont Tours!Posted on Jeannine Carlo
